Welcome to this week’s club news, Cúl Camps 2018: Summer may seem far away with the weather at the moment, but the popular football, hurling and camogie camps are now open for booking. Great value too. https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/ Senior hurlers defeated by Wexford team: The second quarter of the game was where the Ballygarrett men drove some distance between the sides. Eire Og took a brief two-point lead in the 10th minute thanks to their stand-out player, James ‘Pooch’ Cranley, at corner-forward. Read match report HERE.
Weekly lotto: And it continues! Still no winner of our weekly jackpot of €12,000. Last Monday’s numbers were 10, 12, 23 & 29. Gerry Walsh and Gavin McGowan were the weekly cash prizes winner. Get your tickets HERE. Lads do us proud in Louth: Our U13 and 15 boys footballers are currently competing in Leinster leagues. Last weekend, both teams ventured up to Drogheda to face local team O'Raghallaigh. Both teams put in sterling performances coming away with one victory and one narrow defeat.
U14 camogie open season: The team faced Ballinteer in the first game of the season in the Dublin League. It was very cold conditions but both teams were a credit to their clubs. We put in a real team effort but Faith deserves a special mention - she was a powerhouse all day in midfield.
National Club Draw: This Thursday the 8th is the appointed date for the electronic choosing of the winning tickets in the GAA’s National Club Draw. If you haven’t purchased a ticket it is still not too late as sales are being recorded online. For the last few years the income from the draw has provided a welcome input to the club’s forever-on-the-edge financial position Read full weekly club notes HERE.
