Welcome to this week’s club news, Happy Christmas to all our club members, players and supporters and home and abroad. We thank you all for making 2017 a successful and progressive one. At this time of year, it’s always great to catch up with people who we once involved with the club or who have moved abroad. It always strikes me that that they are keen to find out how the club is progressing and learn about plans that we have for the coming year. Several of those who have already spoken to this year, have commented on the rapid expansion of the club both in physical and numerical terms. The installation of the ball wall was noted to me and the addition of camogie for all ages was also been pointed out as a real plus. Many thanks too to all of you who continue to support our weekly club lotto. As I’ve previously mentioned, we gain only about 25% of our income from club membership fees. In an order to keep our club subscription rates low, we have to do a lot of fundraising of which are weekly lotto is the principle one. PS: It wasn’t won last week and as Christmas falls on a Monday this year, there’s even a draw tomorrow night for the €12,000 jackpot!
