While they narrowly lost by four points to a Kilmac/Enniskerry combination, their opponents have been playing together for a while now and is further along the road of development than the current Eire Og ladies team is. Adult men’s football: It’s been a good week for both are adult men’s football teams. Our senior and junior teams both recorded good wins against Bray Emmets and Newcastle respectively. These teams will commence their championships in the coming weeks, so it’s positive to get decent results in the lead up. To read match reports click HERE Under-11 boys’ football: Our opponents on Thursday night were AGB (Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney) who to date had been plying their trade at the lower end of the table so our lads would have been judged as heavy enough firepower to have seen them off comfortably two team format, in which aggregate score determined the winner. However, our lads found that AGB were an unexpectedly difficult nut to crack. In the event spectators were treated to two entertaining and quite competitive contests.
