Welcome to this week’s club news County Calls: It wasn’t to be for either of our senior county teams last weekend. Both senior hurlers and footballers were defeated by Carlow and Louth respectively. Our clubmen on both teams acquitted themselves really well. Also, excelling where the 5/6th class students from St Laurence’s school who played at half-time during the Wicklow v Louth match. 
Weekly lotto: Our weekly lotto jackpot is building nicely. Next Monday’ jackpot is €6,600. The winning numbers in last Monday’s draw were 12, 15, 22 and 26. Rachel Garvey and Isuelt Nicghearailt were the weekly cash prize winners. Please remember that membership fees only generate 25% of our income the rest we fundraise of which the weekly lotto is the main source. €2 tickets available HERE Juvenile ladies Football: The u-14 squad which included seven u12s recently undertook the long journey to Coolkenno and came away with a 6-9 to 1-6 victory. The u-16s who were away to Newtown in their last game, again because of previous commitments on the part of a number of regular players, travelled with a weakened squad. Not surprisingly they lost 6-10 to 3-6. U12 Camogie team in 1st league match: Round 1 of the u12 league kicked off tonight with the girls playing a home game against Kiltegan. It was a great game with fantastic skills on display. Well done all. 
Adult ladies football: The adult team were defeated by Newtown losing by 4 points, 5-8 to 2-13 in what was an extremely enjoyable and exciting contest which indeed might have gone either way. This squad is showing a great improvement in each of its outings and hopefully by seasons end will have become a team to be reckoned with.
