Welcome to this week’s club new Juvenile registration day: This will take place on Saturday, 25 February between 10:30-12:00. We’ll issue reminders in good time. Put the gloves on for Greystones: We still have a few spaces left for potential male and female pugilists for our white collar boxing event. It will take place in the Parkview Hotel, Newtown on the 18 March. All participants will receive professional coaching for the event in Pete Taylor’s gym in Bray. Anyone interested contact John at johnkeane.ok@gmail.com or 086 828 0261.
Patsy Vickers’ big night: This Saturday in Arklow, our club president, Patsy Vickers will receive a lifetime achievement award for all his dedicated service to the club. This is an esteemed honour and a well-deserved one. There will be a large contingent from the club there to support him. Weekly lotto draw: Our popular weekly lotto returned last night. The winning numbers were 21, 23, 25 and 27. We’ve made some changes to our lotto. Due to retirements of volunteers and high printing costs, we won’t be selling paper tickets anymore. You can buy them on-line or individually from our sellers via their mobile phones. Last night, Clare McNally and Laura Naidoo won the weekly cash prizes. As the jackpot was not won, next week it rises to €3,200. You can get tickets at http://bit.ly/2dOiL6w New manager for senior hurling team: In 2017, our senior hurling team will be managed by Wexford man Eamonn Scallan. Eamonn is a former All Ireland winner. He previously managed Wexford minors. We look forward to seeing the team progress under his tenure. Yours in sport Daniel English
