SENIOR HURLING: The curtain came down on our hurlers’ year in Pirc na bPiarsach in Arklow last week with a defeat at the hands of Avondale in the Billy Byrne Cup. This competition is played annually to decide which clubs will occupy the 5th and 6th positions in Cill Mantins order of hurling merit. See match report
END OF AN ERA: This matched also marked the final game in charge for the management team of Mark Barry, Brendan Cuddihy, Ciaran Goff and Gerry Walsh. They have guided the fortunes of the clubs two adult hurling teams since the very beginning of adult hurling in the club almost ten years ago and have left an outstanding legacy. See photo
U14 Hurling B Championship Final: Luck was not on our side as we came up short on a score line of Avondale Parnells 5-03 to North Wicklow Gaels 2-07 in the U14 B Championship final. Avondale were quick out of the blocks and after 10 minutes were 2 goals to the good but then our lads settled into the game and put the next 4 scores on the board after some brilliant build up play.
