Welcome to this week’s club news

WEAR YOUR COUNTY COLOURS SOCIAL NIGHT: The club is hosting a "wear your county colours" night on the eve of the All-Ireland football final on 17th September. It takes place at the club. This is going to be a spectacular day. It kicks off at 5pm with a 7 a side football, hurling and camogie competition. Then there's a bar, BBQ, band and dancing. We're encouraging everybody to come along in their county jerseys. Tickets are just €10. They are available from any committee member or on-line at http://bit.ly/2cjPdip

GIRLS’ FOOTBALL: The cailíní of Éire Óg have recently had successful outings in the county championship at U-12, U-14 and U-16.

The U-12s have reached the final of their competition by virtue of a narrow (2-6 to 2-4) away win over Barndarrig and a 7-5 to 1-9 win away in Valleymount. http://bit.ly/2cpqdot

The U-14s beat St. Nicolas 6-12 to 4-10 in Dunlavin http://bit.ly/2ccysTR

the U-16s overcame an Tóchar in the first rounds of their respective championships. http://bit.ly/2ctyXZq

JAYNE PLAYS IN CROKE PARK: Jayne Merren, from Eire Og GAA Club and St. Laurence's N.S., Greystones, played during the INTO Cumann na mBunscol GAA Respect Exhibition Go Games at the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-Final between Dublin and Kerry at Croke Park, Dublin. See this great action shot of her http://bit.ly/2c7RjOT

SENIOR HURLERS FALL JUST SHORT: Our senior hurling team bowed out the Wicklow senior hurling championship to Glenealy this week. However, they put in a herculean performance and almost sprang a massive shock against the perennial kingpins of Wicklow hurling. The game finished 0-21: 0-15, but the lads were rightly applauded off the field by their band of followers. http://bit.ly/2ciilYx

ADULT CAMOGIE TEAM REACH FINAL: Despite it being their first ever season, our adult camogie team have progressed to the shield final. They will take on Annacurra Camogie . The team fell just short against their more experienced opponents.

WEEKLY LOTTO DRAW: 12, 19, 21 & 28 were the magic numbers in tonight's lotto draw. Noreen O'Keeffe and Leo Lafferty matched 3 of 4 numbers so that's €100 each coming your way! Next week's jackpot is €11,200, get your €2 tickets at http://bit.ly/1MEnh5U
