Welcome to this week’s club news

STRICTLY COME Eire Og: The intensity of their training has been such that the Strictly Greystones dancers are all on their 2nd pair of dancing shoes. They are hoping that these will last them through to show night on a rapidly approaching 10th June. Tickets which are at a premium are available from John Keane at 086-8280261. To avoid disappointment immediate purchase is advisable. Meet the dancers http://eireoggreystones.com/gallery/strictly-2016-launch-night/

FINANCIAL MATTERS This weeks (Mon 30th) winning numbers were 1, 24, 26, 28 There were no winners so the jackpot for Mon 7th is a not-to-be-sneezed-at 8400.

PEIL u-14 BUACHAILLI: Information on the exploits of these boys on the Gaelic field are somewhat sparse so faute de mieux one is happy to report that 3 of their number, Joseph Prendergast, Darragh Rush and James Nicholson were members of the Greystones athletics team which recently won the Leinster 4x100 metres relay in this age group. Maith sibh a bhuachailli!

U-12 CAILINI: On Tuesday these girls travelled to Roundwood to play An Tochar. After a very enjoyable and exciting contest the teams finished level on a score of 3-2 each. It was 2-1 all at the break. On the night the management was presented with a difficult logistical problem. There were 11 subs and with the game being only 25 minutes each half it was a mind-wrecking exercise trying to ensure that all the girls got reasonable game time.

U-8 BUACHALLI: On Sunday some of our u-8 footballers took part in a very enjoyable blitz in Kilmacud Crokes. They were under the stewardship of Gary Lehane and Diarmaid OBoyle. The photos of the occasion show them having great fun with Sam Maguire. http://bit.ly/1sJgm2j
