Welcome to this week’s club news SOCIAL NIGHT The ethos of the GAA requires of its clubs that they develop in their members a sense of community and place. This implies that the clubs look beyond the mere promotion of our national games. It is important then that each club looks to promote social events which bring together members from the various activities within the club whose paths may never cross during the year. To this end a Social Night has been organised for Thursday 18th in the Horse and Hound. RAILWAY CUP Moment of glory put on hold! For you this statement may present something of an enigma but in the minds of the hurling fraternity in Éire Óg there is no doubt as to what it refers. They know that it relates to the postponement of the Inter Provincial Hurling Championship which was scheduled for Galway at the week-end. Our own Stephen (“Chester”) Kelly had been included in the Leinster squad. He was the sole representative from Cill Mantáin We in Éire Óg are very proud of Stephen's being selected for this squad and see it as a great honour for the club. WEEKLY LOTTO: The winning numbers from this week’s (7th) lotto draw were 6,9,18, 26.
