Welcome to this week’s club notes. GOLF CLASSIC Éire Óg golf classic, a four- person team (200 euro) event (scramble format) takes place on 31st July in Greystones Golf Club. SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: The senior football team take on Baltinglass in Aughrim this coming Saturday at 6:45. All support welcome as the team attempt to build on last year’s run to the semi-final. DEA -GHUÍONNA Best wishes to staunch Éire Óg supporter Jimmy O'Toole (he played for the club in the 50s) who recently spent time in hospital and to his wife Hilda who has not been so well of late. It was great to see Jimmy taking advantage of one of the summer's better days to take the air down in the field. LADIES Those among you who would like to cultivate a degree of fitness or who would wish to maintain the level you have through not too demanding exercise might consider joining the group of ladies who have arranged a training session on Thursday evenings at 7.45. The sessions which are organised around a Gaelic game ( of which no previous experience is required) are designed to be stress-free and enjoyable. Beidh fáilte romhat. WEEKLY LOTTO: There was no outright winner in last week’s (13th July) club lotto. The winning numbers were 5,11, 25, 27. The draw is building and building and is over €5,000 now.
