The Castlehaven senior team got the new season off to a good start with a win over Clonakilty in the league at home on Sunday. It was a very competitive game, a typical local derby. Castlehaven started well and kicked some great points to lead by 0-07 pts. to 0-02 pts at half-time. Clonakilty started the second half brightly and cut the deficit but Castlehaven finished strongly to win by 0-13pts. to 0-08pts.

The Castlehaven minor team picked up the league points last Tuesday night with a good victory over Ilen Rovers. It was a very good game of football with both teams playing attacking football. Castlehaven started well and got an early goal to lead at half time by 1-05pts to 0-05pts. Ilen dominated the match for next twenty minutes to take the lead by 4pts with ten minutes left. Castlehaven finished the match with a flourish and got a vital goal to win the game by 2 pts.



Full time score 2-13 pts to 2 -11pts.
