Congratulations to Noreen Deasy, Union Hall winner of €3,000 the weekly lotto. The numbers drawn were 3-16-29. Next week´s draw will take place in The Paragon with a jackpot of €1,000. The Castlehaven U21 team is through the final of The Glenville Tournament after a very good win over Bantry Blues last Sunday. It was a very competitive game between to very good teams. Castlehaven got two early goals and lead at half time 2-07pts. to 1-05pts.Bantry dominated the second half and drew level with time up. Castlehaven had one last attack and score a great winning point, full time score 2-11pts. to 1-13pts. M Hurley, C Maguire 1-02pts. Subs: C O’Mahony, C O’Neill, The Castlehaven underage club had a very enjoyable medal presentation night at Tragumna on Saturday. The following teams got medals for winning competitions in 2014, U 16 D league, U14 A league, U 13 A cup & league U 12 A & D league. Underage chairman Andy Whelton thanked the mentors, players and parents for their efforts last year. He said the club had a very successful season and was looking forward to the New Year. Brian Hurley and Mark Collins presented the medals to the players. The club had players involved at third level during the week. Roland Whelton was on the CIT that lost to UCC in the Sigerson Cup. Conor Nolan CIT, Colm O Driscoll UL and Michael Hurley I T Carlow all played Fresher football this week for their respective colleges. Brian Hurley and Mark Collins both starred for the Cork footballers last Sunday. They had a very good win over Dublin in the league. The U21 team will play Bandon in the first round of the championship. The Castlehaven Junior C team have drawn D O Mathunas in the championship.
