The Castlehaven senior team and Carbery Rangers drew in an absorbing championship match in Clonakilty on Saturday evening. The game was a typical local championship encounter, full of drama and good football. Both teams had their periods of dominance and a draw was probably a fair result, everyone will be eagerly looking forward to the replay. Full time score 1-11pts. each. The under 10 team had two good games against Bantry Blues and O Donovan Rossa in the Ilen Cup. Ladies football: Castlehaven Ladies GAA are holding an under 10 blitz on Saturday the 6th of September in Castlehaven for The Eilish Collins cup. Teams taking part are Castlehaven, Rosscarbery, Skibbereen and Bantry. The semi finals will take place on Thursday evening at 6.45 with the finals on Saturday morning at 10pm and 11.30pm. Support would be appreciated.
Congratulations to John Cleary who coached the Cork U16 ladies football team that won the All Ireland last Saturday.
