Castlehaven GAA Club lotto results: There was no winner of the jackpot last weekend when the numbers drawn were 19-27 and 38. Consolation prizes were won by Joe Maguire, Burns family and Tina Browne. Tickets can be purchased online www.castlehavengaa.ie Next week’s jackpot will be €2,400 on Monday 11th October. The Castlehaven U17 team gave a great battling performance to defeat a very strong St. Colums side on Wednesday 29th at Moneyvollahane . The game was dominated by a very strong wind . The visitors had the aid of the wind in the first half . Castlehaven were excellent in the first half and played some great football against the strong wind . They moved the ball excellently to lead by 4pts to 1pts at the first half water break . Castlehaven kept up the pressure and scored 2 great goals before half time to lead at half time by 2-05pts to 0-03pts . St Colums improved hugely after the break and dominated possession . They pinned Castlehaven back inside their own half . Castlehaven found it very difficult to get possession but they kicked 2 points to keep the scoreboard ticking over . The Castlehaven backs gave a tremendous display in the last 10 minutes to keep Colums at bay . Colums never gave up but Castlehaven held to win by Castlehaven 2-07pts St. Colums 0-06pts . They now play Clonakilty in the final .Congratulations to all the players and management on a mighty win . The game was dominated by a strong cross field wind . Castlehaven had the benefit of it in the first half to lead by 0-05pts to 0-00 at the first half water break . Castlehaven played some great football coming up to half time scoring a goal to lead at the break by Castlehaven 1-08pts to 0-03pts . Barryroe went all out attack in the second half kicking some points to cut the deficit . Castlehaven scored two points in the second half to lead by 3points in injury time . Barryroe scored a goal in the last kick of the match to draw level 1-12pts each . The game went into extra time of 10 minutes each half . The Castlehaven junior ladies prevailed in a tough contest against Douglas in the Junior A Championship on Sunday 3rd . Castlehaven had periods of excellent running football but many of their scores ended up from frees. Defensively the Haven were strong and the forwards kept the scoreboard ticking over. FT Castlehaven 0- 13 Douglas 0-07 Castlehaven travel to Dromtarriffe next Saturday.
