U 16 A Championship - Castlehaven vs St . Colums
The Castlehaven u16s welcomed St Colums to sun drenched Union Hall last Sunday morning for the group game.
Castlehaven were excellent in the first half scoring a goal to lead at half time by 1-07pts to 0-04pts . A physically stronger Colums side dominated early in the second half . The visitors got a goal after 45 minutes to draw level . Castlehaven were hanging on and scored a second goal to lead by 0-01pt with 5 mins remaining . Colums got two late points to win by one point . FT Castlehaven 2-08pts St. Colums 1-12pts After this result Castlehaven now are into the shield competition .

Ladies Junior B Championship
Castlehaven ladies made the long journey to Mourneabbey in their third outing of the championship last Sunday morning . Played in sweltering heat the Haven ladies gave a good account of themselves and dominated the play. With the forwards taking their chances and the defense solid it proved to be too much for an understrength Mourneabbey B team . The Haven ladies ran out emphatic winners.
