Fermoy got a great boost after 5 mins with an early goal and Castlehaven down to 14 men. Castlehaven were chasing the game from the start . Fermoy kept the scoreboard ticking over to stay ahead of Castlehaven for most of the game. Castlehaven rallied with 10 mins remaining to draw level. Both teams missed chances at the end the game . Castlehaven lost another man late in the game and Fermoy kicked a late point to win by 1-09 pts to 0-11pts. Congratulations to Fermoy on the win and Castlehaven will now have to regroup for the losers round. Despite playing with a strong breeze in the first half some wayward shooting left them down. They led at half time 1-6 to 1-4 in Haven's favour. The second half was a nip and tuck affair. Haven made good use of short kick and hand passes against the wind but Inch Rovers proved too strong coming out on top with the full-time score 2-8 to 2-10.
