The Castlehaven senior team pick up the league points in a hard-fought win over Newcestown last Sunday morning at Union Hall. Castlehaven got a great start with two early goals to lead at half time by 2-06pts 0-07pts. The second half was from end to end with both sides scoring some excellent points. Castlehaven held on to win by 2-13pts to 0-14pts. Team A Seymour, J O Regan, J Davis, C O Sullivan, P O Brien, R Whelton, D Whelton, D Cahalane, J Walsh, Sh. The Castlehaven and Clonakilty junior teams played out a very competitive league game last Sunday evening at Union Hall. It took both teams time to settle early on with each side creating plenty of scoring chances. It was a point for point but Castlehaven scored a goal before the break to lead by 1-05pts to 0-06pts at half time. Castlehaven scored 1-03pts after the break to extend their lead. Clonakilty went all out attack and scored a goal to cut the deficit to 3pts. Castlehaven emptied the bench and finished the game strongly to win by 2-10pts to 1-08pts.
