There was no winner of the weekly lotto numbers drawn 16-28-44 next weeks jackpot is €4,000 is at Tragumna The Castlehaven junior 1 panel ended the year with silverware after they defeated Clann na nGael in the section 2 league final on Thursday night in Dunmanway. It was a very open game of football played in excellent conditions. Both teams started well, creating plenty of scoring chances with Castlehaven leading by 1-03pts to 0-04pts after 20 mins. Castlehaven played some good football before the break to lead at half time by 1-05pts to 0-04pts . Clann na nGael started with real intent and attacked Castlehaven after the break to cut the deficit . Castlehaven regained their composure and kept the scoreboard ticking over . They finished the game strongly, kicking some fine points to win by FT 1-14pts to 0-08pts .Castlehaven will now play junior 1 section 1 league for 2019 .The club would like to thanks the players , management & backroom team for their commitment, effort & dedication to Castlehaven GAA during the year .Castlehaven team B Deasy,L Browne, T O Leary, D O Mahony. The Castlehaven U15 team made the long trip to play Cobh away in the 1/4 final of the Premier 1 championship last Friday night .The Castlehaven team gave an excellent display in very bad weather conditions . Goals wins games and Castlehaven got a great start scoring 4 early goals to lead at ht by 4-05pts to 1-02pts . The home side improved in the second half but Castlehaven kept the scoreboard ticking over to win by FT 5-08pts to 2-06pts . Castlehaven would like to thank the Cobh club for the refreshments after the match .
