The Castlehaven senior team bowed out of the championship on Saturday night at Pairc Ui Rinn after they were defeated by Duhallow. Goals win games and Duhallow got a great start scoring 2 early goals in the first half, as a result, Castlehaven were always chasing the game.
Duhallow were leading by 2-07pts to 0-07pts at half time. Castlehaven went all out attack for the second half but Duhallow scored their 3rd goal on the break. Castlehaven never gave up but Duhallow held on to win by 3-13pts to 0-16pts.
The Castlehaven club would like to thank the players and management team for some fantastic victories and days out this year. The players may be disappointed after last Saturday night's result but they played some great football and wore the jersey with pride during the year.
The Castlehaven and Clonakilty U16 teams played out a great game of football in the final on Saturday evening in Rosscarbery. Castlehaven made a great start leading by 1-04pts to 0-01pts after 10 minutes. Clonakilty came into the game as the half progressed and scored 2 goals before the break to lead at HT by Clonakilty 2-06pts to Castlehaven 1-04pts. Castlehaven started the second half with real intent and upped their performance big time. They went all out attack scoring 3 goals to lead by 0-0 5pts with 15 minutes remaining. Clonakilty never gave up scoring a goal to cut the deficit to 0-02pts with 10 minutes remaining. Castlehaven finished the game strongly scoring 0-04pts late points to win FT Castlehaven 4-11pts Clonakilty 3-08pts. Congratulations to the management, players, and parents on a great result for the Castlehaven GAA club.

The Skibbereen CS defeated DLS Macroom by 3-13pts to 1-11pts last Wednesday. The Castlehaven club had a big representation on the panel Rory Courtney, Sam Burchill, Liam Browne, Andrew Whelton, Gavin Foley, Sean Bohane, Kevin O Donovan, Alex Minihane, Donnacha O Donovan & Robbie Minihane.
