The Castlehaven junior 1 team played Barryroe in the junior championship last Saturday evening in Ardfield. It was a very good game of attacking football with plenty scores and goalmouth action. Both sets of forwards were on top as each side played attacking football. In the first half, both sides took time to settle and missed scoring chances with Castlehaven leading at halftime by 1-04pts to 1-02pts.
Castlehaven improved and played better football in the second half. The forwards converted their chances scoring 2- 07pts in the second half. Castlehaven won the game midway through the half scoring 2 goals to lead by 6pts. Barryroe responded with a goal to cut the deficit. Castlehaven kicked two late points to win the game by 3-11pts to 3-06pts. The victory means Castlehaven retain their junior A status for 2019 and advance to play D O Mathunas in the next round.

The Castlehaven U12 team played Skibbereen away on Monday 9th for their final group league match. In a close game, Castlehaven picked up the league points winning 2-08pts to 1-02pts.

The Castlehaven U16 girls played the Dohenys in a league game on Monday 9th at home. It was a very high scoring game with the Haven girls winning by 2 points on a scoreline of 4-15 to 5-10.
