Sarsfields Hurling Club - Junior A + C compete at the weekend

The numbers drawn on 7 June were: 3, 4, 18, 28.

There were no jackpot winners, there was 1 'match three' winner: Emer Cooney.

The sellers' prize went to Yvonne Corcoran, Kevin Connaughton.

Next week's draw, for a jackpot of €5,200 will be held in Harbour Bar, Bullaun on Monday 13 June.

Final score at Loughrea, Sarsfields 3-03 v Loughrea 0-06. A great match, and a big result for the U10 lads. Well done.



4 June U12 Brian Kelly A final

Final score at Loughrea, Sarsfields 3-04 v Kilnadeema-Leitrim 3-06.

The Brian Kelly competition was a great competition for the Sarsfields U12 panel. While the result didn't go their way for the final, the team were brilliant on the day and all-through the competition winning every match prior to the final.

Well done to Kilnadeema-Leitrim. Well done and 'thank you' to our U12 manager and selectors: Michael Ward, Aidan Donohue, Donal Keane, Aodán Mac Cárthaigh.

U12 Camogie win the Quarter Final v St Thomas' at Kilrickle, well done girls.

COUNTY NEWS



Gaillimh Poc Fada Competitions (Senior and Juvenile – Under 16) will take place on Thursday 16th June 30th 2016 in Gort G.A.A. Club Grounds.

Registration will take place at 6.45 p.m. sharp for members who wish to take part in either competition.

 The winner and second placed competitor of the Gaillimh competition will go forward to the Provincial Final which will take place in Bekan, Claremorris, on Monday 4th July.



Sunday June 5th Leinster QUARTER-FINALS, Cusack Park, Mullingar

Galway 3-27 to Westmeath 0-19.

As expected, Galway eased past Westmeath and have semi-final date with Offaly at O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday 26th June.

The Leinster hurling semi-final winners will face either Kilkenny or Dublin in the Final.

Kilkenny and Dublin semi-final is on Sat 25 Jun.

Challenge Galway triathlon is happening in Galway June 24 to 26th. The festival will see thousands take to the roads and the waters in Galway to battle it out over the three disciplines, Sprint, Olympic and Try a Tri race. For anyone looking for a challenge the full and half races taking place on Sunday 26th June have slots left, to enter simply log onto www.challenge-galway.eu.
