The Adult hurlers got their league campaign off to a winning start with a one point win over Skerries Harps at Galtymore. A drawn game at half-time, Counsel battled back and came out with the win. The final score was 2-9 to 1-11, well done to the players and management. The U16 hurlers also beat Skerries over the weekend, 2-8 to 1-4 and hard luck to the U15 hurlers who lost out to Vincents. The U15 camogie team had a win away against Erin’s Isle 2-8 to 1-4, well done to the management and players. Well done also to all those who took part in go games cluster blitz’ over the weekend. Next weekend the first team footballers take on St Finians away at 10.30 and the second team play Ballyfermot at Galtymore at 3.00. Show your support! This Tuesday, St Patricks Day, there will be music in the club bar from 6pm, see you all there. The Club Lotto was not won this week. The numbers were 8-24-27. Next week’s jackpot is €4600. A reminder that registration is overdue, you can print off a copy of the registration form from the website. Bingo continues every Wednesday at 8.30pm in the club. Texas Hold’em continues on Friday nights in the bar at 9pm. Button accordion and concertina lessons are available every Monday night at 8pm in the clubhouse. There are Set-Dancing classes every Monday in the hall at 7.30pm. Beginners welcome. Fencing continues on Tuesdays in the club.  |
