The Good Counsel AFL4 team got their league off to a good start at the weekend with an away win over Man O War. The final score was 1-11 to 2-09. Hard luck to our second team who lost out to Lucan. Well done to our U16 and U15 footballers who also won at the weekend. The Club will be holding a recycling drive as a fundraiser for the Club on Saturday 28th February. Clean unwanted clothes, bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft towels are acceptable. Please drop off all items to the Clubhouse on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday prior to Saturday between 8pm and 9pm. If you cannot make it to the Clubhouse please contact Gretta Byrne on 0876702866 or by email secretary.goodcounsel.dublin@gaa.ie to make arrangements for collection of items. More details are available on the Club website. This is a fundraiser for the Club so anything you can contribute is of benefit to Good Counsel. Registration fees are now due. They can be sent by post to the Club Registrar at Good Counsel GAA & Camogie Club, Davitt Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12. Alternatively they can be left in the registration box at the back of the club bar. Bingo continues every Wednesday at 8.30pm in the club. Texas Hold’em continues on Friday nights in the bar at 9pm. Button accordion and concertina lessons are available every Monday night at 8pm in the clubhouse. There are Set-Dancing classes every Monday in the hall at 7.30pm. Beginners welcome. Fencing continues on Tuesdays in the club.  |
