Well done to both the AFL4 footballers and the under 14 camogie who had great wins over the weekend. Particularly well done to the under 16 hurlers who qualified for the shield final last saturday. The final will take place in late October. Congratulations to Shauna Keogh and David Charles who got married last Friday. The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to the Dublin footballer Johnny Cooper, following his horrific attack last weekend. Johnny was a guest coach at our recent club camps and his father Brendan has been a long -time friend of the club. There is a meeting tonight in the club at 8pm to discuss details of the upcoming Juvenile Presentation Night. All teams should be represented at the meeting.The event takes place on Saturday 29th November in the main hall. The annual mass for deceased members will take place on Saturday 22nd November in the clubhouse. Further details later. The 60th anniversary dinner dance takes place on Saturday 18th of October at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel. Tickets are available from the committee. The club are holding a football road leagues blitz for boys born 2003-2007 on Wednesday 24th September. It will be on from 5.00-8.00pm and we are looking for members to help on the night. Please contact, Anto Dunphy or Paddy Baker for more details. There will be a fundraising Cockroach Racing night in the club on Saturday 27th September. Your support for this and all activities is greatly appreciated. On Sunday 5th of October we have a set-dancing Ceili in the club from 2.30pm. The Glenside Ceili Band will provide the music. Tickets are available from the club. There will be a Wrestling night in the club on Sunday 28th September. Details are available in the clubhouse. Anybody interested in taking up fencing as a hobby can have a go on Tuesday evenings in the club. Details are available in the club. The club LOTTO was not won this week. The numbers were 8-23-28. Next weeks jackpot will be €2200. Bingo continues every wednesday night in the club at 8.30pm. We have Texas Hold'em in the bar on Friday nights at 9pm. Button accordion and concertina lessons are available every monday night at 8pm in the clubhouse. There are Set-Dancing classes every monday in the hall at 7.30pm. Beginners welcome.  |
