It was a very busy weekend in the club with our Lip Sync Launch on Friday night where the club was presented with a cheque by our main sponsors the Drimnagh Credit Union and we were introduced to 12 Lip Sync Acts. The individual acts start their training this week so with less than 5 weeks to go the excitement is building. Tickets for Lip Sync event which takes place on Saturday 21st October are now on sale @€20 each – contact any of the acts or the committee if you are looking for tickets. On Saturday night we had our All Ireland Football Preview evening hosted by John Duggan from TodayFM - he interviewed John O’Leary, David Foran, Mickey Whelan and Coman Goggins – it was a great show and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. On Sunday, the club was busy again with All Ireland Football Final – congratulations to the Dublin Senior Football Team on their 3 in a row win! There are lots of photographs posted to the club Facebook page @goodcounselgaa from all three events that took place in the club over the weekend. On the playing field front, there were lots of matches over the weekend and some match reports have been posted to our club Facebook page. The winners of this month’s €50 Ticket Draw are: 1st Prize €1000 Karl Coleman & Keith Rankin; 2nd Prize €500 Liz Baker; 3rd Prize €250 Paddy Baker; 4th Prize €50 Aoife Maguire. Next Friday night at 8.30pm there is a Table Quiz Fundraiser for our Lip Sync Group “Wrong Direction” which consists of Fergus Parkinson, Abby Medelin, Stephen Cooling and Erika Landers. Cost is €20 for a team of 4. There will be lots of fun on the night with some interval bingo and a raffle. Please support them in their fundraising efforts.
