There was a lot of football action for the Club last week. The first team footballers beat Lucan at 12th Lock 1-13 to 1-7. On Thursday the second team footballers came out the eventual victors against St Annes after a late goal won the game for Counsel. At the weekend the first team won again, this time against Parnells 5-27 to 0-8, while the second team were unlucky against James’ Gaels at the weekend. The U14 camogie side took part in the Féile in Derry at the weekend. In the group stages they won two and lost two which put them through to the Shield semi-final. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be our day however, everyone enjoyed the weekend. Thanks to their management team also. On Tuesday the hurlers play Bray Emmets in Bray at 7.30pm and on Sunday the hurlers play Naomh Fionnbarra at home at 10.30am. Senior 2 camogie play St Vincents on Tuesday at home at 7.30pm and on Thursday senior 5 camogie play Thomas Davis also at 7.30pm, please support. The Club lawnmower has been taken from the Club in the past two weeks. We sincerely ask if anyone has borrowed it or if you saw anyone taking it from the premises to let the Club know. The Club is also taking part in a fundraiser with the Echo newspaper, each Thursday there will be vouchers in the paper, the Club that collects the most wins a kit for their Club so please support! "Strictly" a reminder to all members and parents – please contact Gretta on 0876702866 if you have any update in obtaining an advert or donation for our forthcoming fundraiser – "Strictly Counsel Style" or indeed if you need more letters or any further information.
