Club Sarsfields is seeking new members to assist with meeting the costs of ongoing development works at the club. Members make a monthly contribution to the scheme with all contributions going towards ongoing club development. The target is to reach 100 members by the end of the year to allow development works to be completed. Please speak to any committee member or team manager who will provide further details

Junior Scor will take place in Sarsfields Hall on Sunday 9th November. This competition covers 8 different disciplines - Set Dancing,Ceili Dancing,Quiz,Singing,Ballad Group,Recitation,Instrumental Music & Novelty Act- please contact Francis Reynolds or Paula Mc Stay if any boys and girls aged between 7 and 16 would like to take part
Annual 5k walk/run and 10k run will take place on Sunday 19 October at 12.30pm. Under 12's accompanied by an adult are free with entry fee for under 16's £5 in both 5k and £10k. Please confirm if you are attending on facebook to alow for catering arrangements. The course will be the same course as in 2013. Due to the generosity of local business and club sponsors the club is pleased to announce the following prizes
10k - 1st male and female £40, 2nd male and female £20, 3rd male and female £10 sports voucher
5k run - 1st male and female £20, 2nd male and female £15, 3rd male and female £10 sports voucher
There will also be spot prizes in the 10k,5k run and 5k walk along with prizes for the first Sarsfields members/Derrytrasna residents in both the 10k and 5k runs. Last years Sarsfields Winners were John O'Hagan,Linda Reynolds,Conan Mc Alinden & Sarah Haughey who have confirmed they will be back to defend their titles

A hospitality/leisure course will take place on Sunday 26 October from 12pm to 6pm in Sarsfields Hall. All participants will receive a recognised City & Guilds qualification/Accrediation. This is an excellent course which is ideal for any students trying to enhance their CV or anyone working in the services/voluntary sector. Congratulations to Aiden & Noel Haughian who represented the club at Croke Park on Saturday 11 October in a series of exhibiton games
