Sarsfields will play their first Senior League match against Madden GFC on Sunday 13th April 12pm in Sarsfields pitch.
The annual Feis CLG Ard Mhacha for Gaeltacht part-scholarships will be held on Monday 28 April at 7pm in the Ceannáras at the Athletic Grounds. Young people from clubs across the county will have an opportunity to win a part-scholarship to attend a Gaeltacht course during the summer. Young people who would like to be considered for Feis CLG Ard Mhacha must complete the attached form and scan and return to irishculturalofficer.armagh@gaa.ie or leave in to the office in the Ceannáras.
Closing date for submission of forms is Wednesday 23 April. Forms must be signed by club secretaries.
Sarsfields Youth Club have arranged a trip for junior members to Iveagh Cinema, Banbridge on Thursday 3rd April to see 'The Muppets Most Wanted'. Cost is £3.00
Sarsfields Seniors are hosting an Armagh League Division 2 “Last Man Standing”. Entry fee for this will be £5 and the winning prize is a maximum of £100 If interested please contact any Senior member. Entry sheets are available in Breen’s Shop and the Bay Hall. Rules of the competition will also be attached to these sheets.
General Notices
Well done to Sarsfields Senior player Paul McGeown who scored 3 points in last week’s Under 21 County Championship Quarter-Final replay as Armagh defeated Antrim. Paul will now be playing for Armagh Under 21’s this Wednesday in their Semi-Final game against Donegal in Healy Park, Omagh at 8pm.
Sarsfields would like to congratulate Sophie Caughey who represented ourselves and Wolfe Tones during half time at the Armagh vs Laois game a few weeks back. Well done Sophie.
Tickets are on sale for Derek Ryan, due to perform an open air concert in the Armagh Athletic Grounds on Saturday 31st May. Derek Ryan tickets are available from any committee member, or by contacting Sean (secretary).
Well done to Sarsfields members Conor McAlinden, David Crawford, Michael McCrory, Conor Creaney, Niall Kerr and Matt Doran for completing the underage Referee’s course in Armagh recently. Congratulations are also in order for Niall Kerr and Michael McCrory who refereed their first underage games this week. Well done lads and let’s see the rest of you get some games on your belt!
