Upcoming Notices



Coaching for primary 1 and 2 boys and girls continues in the Hall this Wednesday night from 7pm to 8pm. Coaching for primary 5 and 6 boys and girls will start on Wednesday 12th March from 6pm to 7pm in the car park Coaching for under 12’s continues this Saturday from 2pm to 3pm in the Hall. Gum shields are available to buy from the club for £3 and are to be worn at all coaching sessions.



Good luck to Sarsfields Ceili dancers in the Ulster Scór Semi-final in Clann Eireann next week Sunday 9th March.



Club membership is now due! No football player is permitted to play football without paying membership. Sinead will be available in Sarsfields Hall on Friday’s 6pm – 7pm to collect club membership and any coaching Access NI forms (along with ID).



A table quiz will take place in the Bay Hall on Sunday 16th March to raise funds for all ladies and men’s teams within the club. All are invited, bring a team!

  • Juniors - Iveagh Cinema, Banbridge on Thursday 3rd April Cost £3.00 'The Muppets Most Wanted'

B + Good Mental Health training which South Lough Neagh Regeneration Association (SLNRA) have organised will take on Monday 3 March 2014 in Sarsfields Community Hall from 6.30 - 9.30pm. The training is being delivered by professional facilitators from PIPS and is funded by the Public Health Agency.

Sarsfields would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents who have supported the youth club throughout the year and especially those who have volunteered as leaders. We hope that your child has enjoyed their youth club and look forward to seeing them all back again in September.



Congratulations to Sarsfields ladies players Eodain Ward & Alicia McGibbon, members of St Michael’s Lurgan school team who won the Ulster Under 16c School’s title this week.



Well done to Seamus McCluskey, defending his title in the annual bowling tournament held in Sarsfields Bowling Club. The tournament is run annually in commemoration of the late Dermot McKavanagh, a past member of Derrytrasna Senior Citizens Group. Bowls are played every Monday night and all new players are welcome to come along.



Well done to Niall Kerr & Christopher Breen who represented Lismore School in the Nolan Cup Ulster semi- final.



Well done to Sean McAlinden, Paul McKee, Francis Reynolds & Harry Gormley who have qualified to represent the club in the Ulster Final of the Irish Language Trath na gCeist which will take place in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh on Friday 7th March.



Congratulations to ladies senior team player Dearbhaile Campbell who made her senior debut for Armagh ladies last week in their win over Wexford.



Many thanks to the Armagh County Board for welcoming past members of Sarsfields GFC in the recent Armagh Down county match in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh. GAA All Star Stevie McDonnell was present and the past members were given a tour of the grounds along with centre seats of the match.
