Hurling News

The week was book ended by two very positive underage results. At the start of the week the U13 secured a semi- final place in the A1 Championship with a win over Killimordaly 3-03 to 1-08 and just before this week’s Lotto Draw, our U16 team won an exciting game against Cois Fharraige 3-11 to 3-07 to reach the Shield final. In between the Minor team bowed in a very disappointing fashion to Oranmore Maree, 3-14 to 1-07. With neither side setting the scoreboard alight, Mágh Cuilinn were 1-08 to 0-6 behind mid second half but the second goal signalled a collapse. Scoring appears to be the difficullty as on Sunday morning our Junior B team were again defeated by Ahascragh Fohenagh by 2-19 to 1-08.

Despite the camp for the older under age in August, the 2014 Cul Camp still attracted over 100 children throughout the week.

U12’s are in action on Wednesday at home to "Cashel" while U10 go to Castlegar on Saturday and the U16 shield final is likely to be played before Race Week commences.
