SMRC AGM 2020:
Thank you to all who participated in our AGM last week. It was great to see so many faces on our screens. We have a committee for the 2020-21 season as follows:

Special thanks to outgoing Secretary James Harrington and Treasurer Brendan Spicer for their hard work. It has been a very challenging period and their contributions were very important to the Club.

News of a new Welfare Pod for the site at O'Briansbridge was warmly received. This will provide much needed warm and secore changing facilities for female and male rowers, toilet and shower also. Thanks to Andrew O'Connell for leading this project.

Kieran Kerr made a presentation on Coastal Rowing which is to be added to the Olympics from 2024. This is an exciting prospect as a sport Ireland is well placed to train and compete for. We are now looking at how we may add this to our activities to compliment 'Flat Water Rowing' at SMRC.

Declan O'Connor put his hand up to answer the call for improved online and general PRO output and this will be of great benefit to us in extending our reach as a rowing club. We are rebuilding our website and this will reqire more input from all members. Thanks Dec for getting on board
