Rowing Ireland Virtual Regatta:
So the results are in and while we didn’t manage to win the Rowing Ireland Virtual Regatta with average highest kms we still had an outstanding weekend.
In total we did 4147km (erg, running and cycling). That’s 11.5 times the length of the Shannon! St. Michael’s accounted for 15% of the total submitted kms in the event with 254 individual entries from members.
Special mention goes to Eabha Benson who won her individual event for most kms rowed with an incredible 100kms in one day alone!
Fionn McDonnell also won the j14 boys event.
Dec and Eamonn of the Masters squad proved age is no barrier with 40K+ erg rows on successive days of the competition.
Well done to all who took part and keep up the good work. Hopefully we’ll be back on the water soon enough!
