Recently the Club completed a new 5 year strategic plan, a detailed financial review and a new competitive rowing strategy. Arising from the rowing strategy, it has been decided to substantially increase the available coaching hours of the Junior Development Coach role.
The competitive rowing strategy review group is confident that the additional hours, together with the excellent cohort of volunteer coaches, will enhance the development of our young squads in the seasons ahead.
This will mean that Joe Cantillon will conclude his involvement as Junior Development Coach at the end of the 2019 season after the National Rowing Championships in July. The Committee of St. Michael’s Rowing Club wish to express their sincere thanks to Joe for his outstanding contribution as Junior Development Coach for many years. He also deserves the thanks of almost a generation of young athletes and their parents. We wish him every success as he pursues new opportunities in coaching and ROWfit as well as pursuing his interests in rowing equipment and the management of the national and provincial indoor championships.

Best of luck to all out athletes, coaches and parents/volunteers for this weekend's regatta.
Sunday Social Fundraiser:
Next Sunday at 6pm - Drop into the club for a burger, popcorn, ice cream and a movie for €10 per person. Teas & coffees & a few bickies too.
Everyone is welcome and it’s a chance for a quick social catch up & to raise funds for our upcoming trip to the UK Schools Regatta at the London Olympic course at Eton Dorney.
Please please please let the captain know if you are attending & how many as we need to have the right catering volumes.

National Schools Regatta (U.K.):
Just over a week to go for our big trip to the British Schools Regatta at the London Olympic course at Eton Dorney. Time to double check the passports, make sure your printer is working for those boarding passes, and all the rest of it. Can't wait!!
Coaching course:
Parents/Rowers/Ex Rowers - We may have an Introduction to Coaching course coming up in Limerick if we have sufficient numbers.
If anyone is interested in attending this course (which is run by Rowing Ireland) then please drop the captain and email. Date/time - tbc once we have the numbers.
