Some of you may already have seen the pics - we've a temporary webcam set up at the club and you can see the construction work by going to the main website www.smrc.ie or an alternative player on www.myearthcam.com/SMRCLimerick.

Rowing News:
Neptune Regatta was held on Saturday and our correspondent Richie 500 sent us this report:

Big congratulations to the junior men's crews who kicked off the regatta season at Neptune yesterday. We had a great days racing in the sun and rain.

Highlights of the day were:

The J15 4x who won 3 heats on the way to the semi final where they lost by a foot to the overall winners Fermoy.

The J14 2x of David Foley Kiely & Donnchadha de Brun made it to the semi final in their first race in the boat.

And the J14 4x won their 3 heats & final to win the event. Congratulations to David Foley Kiely (Stk), Donnchadha de Brun (3), Diarmuid Hartney (2), Ian Neville (bow) & Caireann O'Gorman who steered it like a F1 driver 🥇

Great job done by Michael, James, Keelan & Caireann on their cox racing debuts on a difficult race course.

Thanks to all the parents for getting the kids there on time, fed & watered.

This is turning into an oscar speech. There's music playing now they want me to finish...

Well rowed St Michael's! Richie 500 out.

The Jackpot Prize currently stands at €1,000 and is kindly sponsored by our generous friends at Bowe Dental Clinic. www.bowedentalclinic.ie

The SMRC lotto is a vital part of our fundraising plans, and in particular for our new slipway project as 100% of the lotto proceeds are ring fenced for this urgent construction. We've had a great response again in the last few weeks with new players joining the lotto. Thanks you all, every one of you is very welcome.

Thank you all,
SMRC Lotto Committee.
