On Saturday night last Skerries Harps made a special presentation to Joe McGuinness to mark his 51 years as an Executive member with Skerries Harps, 10 as Secretary and the last 41 years as Treasurer. Over the years Joe has seen many changes in the club culminating in the opening of a Superb Clubhouse in May this year. Many Congrats Joe.
Good wins this week for the McMeel's Pharmacy sponsored Senior footballers in AFL2 against Lucan, Juniors beat Fingal Ravens in league, Ladies Footballers beat Man O War while U16 hurlers had a deserved win over Good Counsel.
Congrats to the two U12 Hurlers, Luke Whelan and James Kenny who represented the Harps in the Ger Canavan Hurling skills challenge in O'Toole's with great credit, with Luke being the overall winner.
Well done to Fionnan O'Sullivan, Liam Woodcock and Sam Jones with the Dublin U15 footballers.
Congrats to Dublin Ladies football captain Lyndsey Davey (0-4) on Dublin's semi-final win over Laois and good luck in final against Westmeath.
Hard luck to Orlaith Durkan with Dublin Senior Camogie on narrow loss to Tipperrary, and to Aisling Spillane with the Dublin Premier Junior Camogie team who lost out to Laois.
