The Newtown Blues G.F.C. was founded on 12th July 1887 and is getting ready for a great year of gaelic as they prepare for their 125 years anniversary. There are a great calendar of events soon to be unveiled!!

Other News: Ladies AGM The Newtown Blues Ladies will be holding their AGM on Wednesday 18th January 2012 at 7.30pm in the Newtown Blues clubrooms. The club caters for females from U10 to Adult level. This season the adult team will be competing in the Louth Ladies Senior Championship for the first time in the history of the club after winning the Intermediate Championship in 2011 & the Junior Championship in 2010. The club will also be entering a second team in the Division 3 League & Junior Championship. In 2012 we are also hoping to set up a Gaelic4Mothers & Others team. The Gaelic4Mothers & Others initiative is a way to introduce mothers and other women to playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun non-competitive way.
