Football News:

Congratulations to the Louth U16's who won the Gerry Reilly Plate today

Final score- Louth 5-14 Longford 2-14. Well done to the Blues representative & captain of the U16 panel Alan Connor.

Hard luck our fantastic U14 Girls team that lost out to Cooley in their A Championship clash last Monday night 25th July. Our girls never gave up the fight and came back from a 6 point deficit to be 2 points short at the final whistle. This was a great team performance but unfortunately the final result didn't go their way.

Final Score

Newtown Blues 2-05

Cooley Kickhams 3-04

Hard luck to the Louth U16 Girls team that lost out in the  All Ireland final to Tipperary. The girls had a great second half but failed to close the gap.

Louth 1-12

Tipperary 3-16

It was a great achievement for the County to get to an All Ireland Final. Well done to the team and management including Blues lady Eva Cummins who did our club and county proud with a stellar performance.

Hard luck to the Louth Ladies that lost out in the

TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Championship to Wexford. We had Blues representatives Cliona Smith, Shayleen McDonagh & Ronan Phillips flying the club flag.
