Senior Men

Senior Men played the next round of O'Sullivan Cup in Glenbeigh on Sunday morning (13th October).

Glenbeigh/Glencar 0-10, Laune Rangers 4-9

A strong second half that included four goals saw Laune Rangers overcome Glenbeigh/Glencar on Sunday afternoon in Mid Kerry’s O’Sullivan Cup.

Glenbeigh/Glencar opened the scoring but Laune Rangers, playing with the breeze, scored points through Cian O’Shea & Patryk Radny. Glenbeigh/Glencar would point three in succession, but Laune Rangers responded with points from Patryk Radny & Gavin O’Shea to level matters, and further scores from Matt Leslie & Callum Russell gave the visitors the lead at the break.

Half Time Score: - Glenbeigh/Glencar 0-4, Laune Rangers 0-6.

Darragh O’Grady pointed to cancel out an earlier free before Laune Rangers struck for the first goal of the game – defenders Oisín Birmingham & Calum Moriarty teaming up to put the latter through to smash the ball to the net.

Cian O’Shea & John Tyther (free) added further points before Darragh Clifford struck for Laune Rangers second goal. Two goals in quick succession were scored by Stephen Gannon & Cian O’Shea to rubber stamp the win, as Glenbeigh/Glencar tagged on a few consolation points as time ran out.

Next outing for senior men is a repeat of last years Mid Kerry Championship Final. Laune Rangers will host Keel on Saturday 26th October in Killorglin.

Minors - The minors won the Mid Kerry Minor Championship for the first time since 2021. They played Keel/Listry whom they already met in this competition, but result was in favour of the young men from the Laune this round. Photos from the occasion are also available on social media to view.

U16 girls were also successful in their final last week v Ballyduff which was held in Abbeydorney on Wednesday night (09th October).

U15 Boys Blue team play their Mid Kerry U15 Cup Final on Sunday 20th October in Milltown at 1pm.

U15 Boys White team play their B Final against Milltown/Castlemaine on Saturday 26th, venue and time to be confirmed.

 

U13 Boys won their final on Sunday afternoon in Beaufort against Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane.

Final Score GGC 1-8, Laune Rangers 4-11.

U13 Girls finished off the week for underage success with a win in Tralee over Fossa in U13 Club Championship 'B' Final.
