The Village Inn hosted the postponed Urhan GAA Lotto on Sunday 12th Nov. The draw was deferred a night following the passing of great Urhan footballer Patrick 'Paddy' O Sullivan. Patrick was a member of a remarkable band of brothers who represented club, division and county with great strength and no little skill. The jackpot on the night was €7,000, a health pot at a good time of year to lift the winter blues! Numbers drawn were 4, 10, 12 & 18. Unfortunately despite some moments of concern for the committee, keen to retain the pot of gold, there was no winner. As a result the stakes are again raised, the jackpot will now be €7,200 for the next draw on Dec 2nd. Not everyone would be allowed go home empty handed. The 5 lucky dip winners were Mary O'Shea, Eyeries Village; Pamela Cody, Castletownbere; Aoife Murphy, Cahirkeem; Cormac Long, Bally and David Sheehan, Ardgroom.
