Another mixed bag of results this week-end . Our junior hurlers lost to naomh Maur in the junior "B" championship. The lads did not play as well as they can so we are looking forward to a better display from them in the next round. Our minors had a two point win over Castleknock in their league game at the "Boggies". It was a very competitive, sporting game with both sides giving a fine display of hurling . The "Barrs" were behind at half time but after a rousing half time talk by manager Paul Turner the lads turned the game around and got a well deserved victory. Well done lads!. Our u/16's also had a very good win in their away league game against Faughs. This was a very closely contested game with the lead changing hands on a number of occassions. In the end our lads held out for a one point win. Go maire sibh lads! Team of the week must go to our u/14 hurlers who had a very big win over Clontarf in the league. They gave a great display of hurling with each player playing his part in the victory but I must mention Pearse O Brien who scored a total of 12 points in this game.Go maire tú! a Phiaris! Our senior camogie team lost to Lucan in the league. Executive meeting on Thursday night at 8oc Juvenile meeting on Tuesday night 9oc. A meeting for Festival week will be held in the upstairs bar on Monday May 13th next at 7 45pm. Anyone interested in helping out with the festival are welcome to come along. Music in club every week-end Carvery every Sunday. We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to our Rúnaí Séamas mc Grattan and family on the death of his grandmother and to Stephen and Karen Browne and their family on the death of their grandmother. Go ndéanadh Dia trócaire ar a ánamacha dílís.
