Once again it is with a sad and heavy heart I write these notes to-night as our club has been dealt another dreadful blow with the untimely death of one of our Juvenile players Conor ó h-Íci who has died as a result of a hit and run on Friday last. Conor has played with our club since joining our tiny tots at the age of three years . Our deepest sympathy is extended to his dad John mam Margaret sister Clár and extended family. We would also like to extend our sympathy to his u/14 team mates and to the management team. The annual presentation took place last Friday night and the following people were honoured. Clubman of the year Niall Brady Senior hurler of the year Brendan Quinn Senior footballer of the year Paul Turner Junior > A hurler Eoin Fogarty Junior B hurler Niall Brady Junior A footballer Billy Hyland Junior B footballer Stephen O Farrell Minor hurler Kevin Kehoe Minor footballer Gareth Carberry A special award was made to Will O Meara for the most improved player of the year. Presentations were also made to our Senior B hurling championship team who brought the championship title to our club for the first time in our history and to the Junior footballers won the league without loosing any games. Special tribute was also paid to former Dublin footballers Mickey Whelan and Paddy Holden and former Dublin hurler Seán Moyles for the honour they brought to the community of Cabra on the field of play. go maire sibh do leir!
