SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
It was 2/2 for the RGU senior teams on Saturday.
After two difficult games for the ladies in their senior championship, they took on Kilcoo, in Páirc Eoghan Rua, Kilcoo. The RGU Ladies lead from the beginning and put in a strong and much improved performance to the previous games, to come away confident winners.
Final Score: RGU 2.12 v Kilcoo 0.07
The RGU men took on An Ríocht in the first round of the championship in St John’s GAC.
A quick goal and point in the first minute maybe had the Hoops thinking they were going to have a relatively easy afternoon, but it was far from easy, as the Kingdom battled the whole way. Points in the final quarter put a gloss on the scoreline as the Hoops took a hard fought 7 point win.
Final score: RGU 2.15 v An Ríocht 2.08.
U12 Silverware
U12 Girls Blitz hosted by Ardglass GAC.
The girls put on a superb display and held their own against some of the strongest local teams. Maith sibh on your first piece of silverware girls!
