SENIOR FOOTBALL The Senior Men got their first win of the season on Friday night against Castlewellan GAC at Páirc Tomás Ruséil. The hoops started well with four quick points in succession and in total, scored 3.08 from play. It was a much-improved performance from the Hoops, with possession, turnovers and scoring all high and will be a strong confidence and moral boost for the team, having lost Conor McGrady to serious injury the previous week against Loughinisland. The win bodes well going into challenging opponents this week against Warrenpoint. In the end, it was a solid win for the hoops - final score RGU 5.13 Castlewellan 2.10 Ádh mor to the Senior Ladies, who play a home game tonight against Saval – 7pm throw-in
DAWN WALK IN AID OF ALPS AND SUICIDE PREVENTION Thanks to everyone who came out to remember all those we have lost in our community to suicide on Saturday morning and support the work ALPS undertakes to promote and encourage wellbeing and positive mental health in our community. Participants joined us at the RGU pitch at 4:45am to set off on a 5km walk into dawn.
