This coming Sunday, 5^th December from 6pm - 8pm it’s Santa Sunday at the RGU. Music and Street Performers will be in attendance, with Elvin the Elf (Stiltwalker), Wizzy the Pixie (Ground based walkabout), Tony Tinseltoes (Stiltwalker) and Becky (Fire Poi Performance). In addition, Hotdogs, Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate will be available. This is an outdoor event.

Paddy Tally, former Down Manager, stepped aside after three years back on July 7^th, with Down County Board eventually appointing his successor after almost 140 days. James McCartan has returned as Down Manager, with Armagh All Ireland winner Aidan O’Rourke as his head coach. James was previously in charge from late 2009 to the summer of 2014. Only a few other County managers have returned to County jobs, Declan Bonner, Donegal, James Horan, Mayo and Jack O’Connor,Kerry.

With County training set to resume on December 7^th, James’s timeframe is very short to organise his players, and with Down having drawn Monaghan in the Ulster Championship time is not on his side. All Down supporters and clubs should support his appointment and going forward their county players as well.

This week’s lotto numbers drawn by Roisin Polly were: 3, 11, 15 and 20. There was no jackpot winner and next week’s Jackpot is £2,100 next week. Four tickets matched three numbers to win £100, Eamonn McGrady, Ann McCart, Angela McKeever and Conor Smyth.
