Morgan Shannon and Keira Turley lift the Down Senior Ladies A Intermediate title on Saturday following a 3point victory over Kilcoo at Castlewellan GAC. RGU senior ladies proceed into Ulster championship to represent Down with a home game on Saturday 30th October against winners of Fermanagh V Monaghan. Our Interprovincial games came to an end this morning with Connaught victorious in the Cup Final and Leinster coming out on top in the Shield Final.These series of games over the past 4 weeks have been brilliant in providing extra matches and extending the season for our u13 and u11.5 players. The involvement of our Senior players as managers and coaches has been hugely important in furthering the development and understanding of game play for the young lads. Many thanks to all involved in making this happen. From parents to senior players to referees to grounds committee to juvenile committee and finally to the young players, it takes everyone pulling together to make it work. Thank you to Liam and Tonia also this morning for providing hot dogs and drinks for all The u11.5 girls had their end of season showcase match and presentation in the sun this morning at the RGU.☀️ Thank you to all the parents and supporters who came along to share in their celebration and for being such good sports by joining in the parent ‘Longest kick’ competition! The coaching team want to thank all the girls for their dedication to training and matches throughout the year. They trained in lashing rain at times without complaining, made us laugh at every session, took their turn on and off the pitch in matches so everyone got the same match time, and their sense of sportsmanship in league matches is something they should be very proud of.👏👏👏 Well done all.
