There will be a weekend of fun and football next Saturday and Sunday at Pairc Tomas Ruiséil. Details will be communicated to each age group through the usual channels during the week. The senior ladies completed a RGU super Saturday with a comprehensive win over Ballymartin. The ladies went into an early lead which they comfortably maintained throughout the match. Quarter finals up next in two weeks’ time. Opponents will be confirmed shortly. Final score: RGU 3-11 Ballymartin 0-5. It was a great result for our senior men in the first round of the Senior Championship against Carryduff. The heavy lifting was done in the first half with a terrific thirty minutes of football. Carryduff fought back in the second half but could never get closer than four points and the lads held strong to the end. Well, done. Final score RGU 3-8 Carryduff 0-13. The U-15 girls hosted Bryansford at home recently. The sunshine was out, and a great game of football was had by all. Many thanks to Bryansford for traveling to us this time around. Congratulations to the minor ladies, anything the men can do, our ladies can do better. They are now A-League champions, goals win matches and 13 is unlucky for some but not for the minor girls. A fantastic performance, well done. Final score RGU 13-13 Bryansford 2-1. This week’s lotto numbers drawn by Roisin Polly were 9, 25, 26 and 28. The Jackpot was not won and is now £1700.
