Congratulations to the senior men’s team who secured the Second Division title and promotion on Friday night. Well, done lads, our championship match against Carryduff is on Saturday 18th September in Darragh Cross.

The U-11.5 hoops had a great morning of football against Bredagh which was played under superb conditions.Three matches were played simultaneously with every team putting on show the skills they have developed during the year. I think a few boys didn’t leave all their energy on the pitch judging on how fast they bolted for the hotdogs and drinks at the end of the game. Great  morning and well done to everyone.

The U-15 ladies played Carryduff in what was a much improved performance from their previous fixture against this team. Although the final score did not reflect this.Goals win matches with Carryduff finding the back of the net on several occasions. The girls continue to work hard in this challenging league. A league with some very good football played at different periods throughout the game. Next game away to Saval.

Many congratulations  to Tom Smyth on making the Eirgrid Top 20 players in the U-20 championship. Well, deserved after a brilliant campaign.

It was a tough match for the minors in their only group match in the championship at Pairc Tomas Ruiseil. Rostrevor showed how their extra matches have helped as they ran into an insurmountable lead at the break as they led by 13 points. However, the lads listened to what they were told and slowly steadied the ship and had a much improved second half.

Well done lads on a great effort. Final score RGU 0-10 Rostrevor 5;15. Quarter final next week against Klcoo, venue and time to be confirmed. Thanks to Paul, Donal and Ciaran for helping.

This week’s lotto numbers drawn by Paul Kelly were 2, 14, 17 and 23. Congratulations to  Collie Quinn. On winning the Jackpot of £6200. Five tickets share £100, those who shred were  John Murphy, Tony Murphy, Isobel Quinn, Sarah Savage and Lynda Turley. Jackpot now returns to £1500.

Play our lotto online on our Facebook page or use the QR codes dotted on signs around the pitch. Thanks for your continued participation.
