St Joseph’s G A C Glenavy The Chris McCloskey Minor Sevens Chris McCloskey played for St Joseph’s, Glenavy Minor Team in 2010. He died in a road traffic collision on 31st March 2010. The club is organising a Minor seven-a-side tournament in his memory to be played on Saturday 18th September starting at 10.30am. Chris’s parents, Deirdre and Noel will be there to present the cup to the winning side, and with teams from Antrim, Armagh, Down and Tyrone coming, it promises to be a great day of gaelic football as a warm up to the All-Ireland finals taking place on Sunday 19th. All club members and supporters are invited to come on Saturday 18th and help ensure the young footballers have a memorable day of sport and enjoyment.
