There was no winner of the lotto jackpot prize of €5,800. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 16, 17. The winners of the €25 prize were Rose Brannock, Pat Murphy, James Dillon Snr., Colm Wall and Angela Kane. Promoters prize went to John Dowling.
Best of luck to our Senior Team who play Moorefield in the Semi-final of the Championship on Saturday evening at 5 PM in St. Conleth’s Park in Newbridge. All support is greatly appreciated!!
Under 6 and Under 8 charity blitz took place on Saturday 26th. This charity event is called the Michael Lawless Memorial day in honour of the late Michael Lawless. It was a wonderful day with teams from Castlemitchell and Rathangan coming along to join in the fun. We had visits from Kieran McGeeney, Daryl Flynn, Mickey Harnett and Liam Harnett which was a great treat for the kids, a special thanks to these lads for coming along. Rathangan won the Jim and Doll Howe Cup in the a great under 6 final, well done to Rathangan. Suncroft and Castlemitchell was a draw in the under 8 final so the Raleigh family cup will be shared for the year between the teams. Well done to all that played there was great display of football from all teams.
A huge thanks to all the local business’s that sponsored us and to all the mammy’s who did the wonderful baking!! All monies raised will be divided equally between the Martha Barska Trust Fund and Barnardo’s Bereavement Counselling service. We realise a lot of people helped out on the day but we would like to single out John & Marie Knight for their efforts in getting this day organised.
Under 15's play the first round of the Div 2 league on Sunday 4th October. Fixtures and venues have not been published for this league yet.  |
