Disappointment in
Division 6B League Final
Hard luck to our Division 6B team who lost out in the league
final by a single point on Saturday. It was a disappointing end to a long
year with the lads hoping to add the league title to the Junior D championship.
Our lads were ahead at the break by 0-08 to 0-03 but playing against the breeze
we failed to close out the game and despite still being ahead going into injury
time two late frees awarded to Walterstown were enough to secure a 0-10
to 0-09 winning margin. Although the junior footballers lost two league
finals in recent weeks a junior D championship and promotion in Division 4B and
6B can be regarded a success for Cathal Cullen and his selectors.
